Dr. Hardison grew up in Wilmington, NC and went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar. He received his BA in Chemistry in 1975. He attended Medical School at Chapel Hill as a Board of Governor’s Scholar and Merck Scholar. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1983, and has been at Boylan Medical Associates since 1989.
Dr Hardison is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, North Carolina Medical Society, Wake County Medical Society, and a Staff member at Rex Hospital. He was honored as one of the ‘Top Internists in America’ in 2001-2003. He is an inductee of the W. Reece Berryhill Society and the Gerrard Society at UNC.
Dr Hardison's wife, Marianne, is a well known face at Boylan working in the Administrative office. They have two children, Anna, a recent UNC-CH graduate, and Joe, who is attending the Citadel.
Outside of medicine, Dr Hardison enjoys hunting, boating, gardening, and traveling with his family.
