Mary J. Forbes, MD

Mary Forbes, MD, is a native of Baltimore, Maryland but moved with her family to Raleigh in her grade school years.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1984, where she was also a scholarship basketball player.  Dr. Forbes then did pre-medical course work at North Carolina State University before ultimately earning her MD in 1992 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.  Dr. Forbes completed her residency program in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 1995, and became board certified in that year.  She became a partner at Boylan Medical Associates in 1996.

Dr. Forbes is a member of the following organizations and societies:

• American College of Physicians
• North Carolina Medical Society
• American Medical Society

In her spare time, Dr. Forbes enjoys reading, traveling, sports, and spoiling her Labrador Retrievers, Ben and Chance.
